Will Colorado Citizen's Lawsuit Have Chilling Ramifications for Freedom Of The Press?

PPPS (Denver)—A Colorado Citizen today filed a shocking lawsuit in the Federal District Court in Denver today, challenging the very foundation of the 1st Amendment right guaranteeing freedom of the press.

In his lawsuit, a Colorado resident, named only as Citizen Pete, claimed irreparable harm and mental anguish due to several news organizations, and some individual reporters and news personalities, failure to report information and facts in their possession in a timely manner.

Named in the lawsuit were: ABC News, CBS News, NBC NEWS, MSNBC, CNN, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, NPR, PBS, AP, Politico and the Denver Post.

A nearly identical copy of the lawsuit was also simultaneously filed in the Washington, DC District Court naming certain individuals collectively known as the White House Press Corpse, and in the International Court of Justice at the Hague, naming the BBC News, CNN, Reuters News, Al Jazeera, and the Associated Press.
